Three weeks earlier, I had found myself awake at 3am again. Not from the baby crying or needing the bathroom, but from that persistent throb at the base of my neck.
I grabbed my phone and typed: “why does my neck hurt every morning”.
Forum after forum of people just like me. Desk workers, side sleepers, people in their 30s and 40s describing the exact same morning torture. We had all tried everything: memory foam, orthopaedic pillows, those weird shapes that look like modern art.
Nothing worked. We were all stuck in the same cycle: buy expensive pillow, feel hopeful, wake up disappointed, shove it in the cupboard with the others.
That is when I saw someone describing a pillow with “a smaller inner pillow for support and a soft outer pillow for comfort”. The comments were different. People were actually excited.
